My wife Connie and I both retired back in 1997; her from a private housecleaning practice, myself from 25-years working at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.  In May of 2003 we decided to leave Greenland NH and make a final retirement move to Henderson, Nevada, a suburb of Las Vegas, and have really enjoyed the relatively nice year-round climate this area offers. In between our casino hopping and regular dining out, Connie spends most of her time reading while I work on a variety of photography and art projects, as well as keeping my computer and several blogs up-to-date. Over these past few years we have made a many trips exploring the vast western wilderness areas that surround us. For the past two years I have been taking regularly scheduled hikes with a group of rock-hounds from the Henderson Senior Facility. Although I seem to attack various artistic project in "spurts", I have settled myself to the fact that photography seems to be my major interest. Though I have now been taking pictures for years, it seems that I am still a "babe in the woods" and still have so much to learn about taking good pictures. But I guess, that is part of the creative challenge that every picture opportunity presents. Once I feel that I have enough items to offer in each category, it is my hope to have a couple of "showings" at some of the local art rooms and galleries around the area.
